PasteLight does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. It reads your clipboard locally and writes a compressed copy back. Nothing leaves your machine.

PasteLight is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Anthropic. Claude and Claude Opus are trademarks of Anthropic PBC, referenced here only to describe which model PasteLight's token-savings figures are measured against.

What stays local

• Every image you copy or screenshot.
• Your clipboard history (stored in ~/Library/Application Support/PasteLight/).
• Your settings (stored in macOS UserDefaults).

What we don't do

• No accounts. No sign-up. No email required.
• No analytics, telemetry, or crash reporting.
• No network requests beyond Sparkle update checks (when enabled).
• No selling or sharing of anything, ever — there is nothing to sell.

When PasteLight goes paid

Once PasteLight goes paid, it will validate license keys through Gumroad. That single API call sends only the license key — no email, no machine fingerprint, no usage data.
